Whats in a name?

Prompt Number 2: what is behind the name of your blog?

I recognize that the title of my blog is rather silly but here is the story behind it. When Nicole moved to college it didn’t take me long to move down into her bedroom. This was all fine and dandy until the summer came and Nicole and I found ourselves living in the same room. Although that room was often a battle zone we had some really great nightly chats. In one of these late night chats we both decided that we would find our happy mediums in our lives. After talking about all of these amazing people that we looked up to and trying to find what makes them so great we came to the conclusion that it had to be because they had found a balance for their lives. And that’s when we decided that we would find that balance or ”happy medium” in our lives also! So there’s the challenge… find your happy medium. =) best of luck!

Kayla in 15

Well I guess that I will rejoin the mass group of people that are now doing this series of blog prompts. =)

So here is day one (again).... List fifteen things about yourself and a recent picture.

1) I am a list person. I am always making to do lists! When I am at school those lists get extra long and extra complicated but I can’t beat that feeling of satisfaction as I cross something out. Although when I find myself at home for the summer these lists get pretty comical usually containing things such as, get ready for the day, eat breakfast, fix blog. =)

2) My favorite Disney movie is Aladdin. Not only is it the greatest source of entertainment with fabulous music, and the most independent princess, Aladdin is super good looking! (well I guess as good looking as animated characters come)! It’s too perfect!

3) My all time favorite color is blue. Any shade of blue is beautiful but a bright royal blue is spectacular!! Once in Chemistry lab we were mixing two chemicals and they produced the most gorgeous color of blue! I kept picking up the test tube and swirling the solution around just so I could see that color. I am sure that my partner thought that I was completely crazy!

4) According to Paul I am a picky eater. I simply don’t agree, although I don’t enjoy many vegetables, anything sweet and sour, ketchup, milk, shrimp, tuna, any sea food for that matter, pot pie…. Alright maybe I am a picky eater

6) I love basketball! It is indisputably the best sport on this earth.

7) I am scared of the dark! It’s the truth. When I am living at home I am always the last person to head to bed. I have gotten on my dad enough times that he knows now to leave the kitchen light on when he goes to bed. I then walk to through the kitchen and turn on the basement light then walk back and turn off the kitchen light. I go downstairs to my bedroom and turn that light on walk back through the basement and turn that light of, back to my bedroom to turn on my lamp, across the room to turn off the bedroom light and finally once safely in my covers I turn off my lamp. And yes I am almost twenty. =)

8) I adore peanut butter! It is simply delicious! I believe that it would gross my roommates out when they would find me sitting on our counter in the kitchen eating peanut butter with a spoon. It is good with jelly, honey, chocolate, bananas, tortillas, bread, you name it! It also was super good at helping me gain my freshman fifteen!

9) I am the most indecisive person you will ever meet….ever.

10) I am commonly found singing and dancing in the kitchen. I believe that maybe these are hidden talents that if I try enough times I will uncover. It has not worked yet but maybe someday. =)

11) I can sleep at anytime, anywhere, any position, and any amount of light or noise. Some people call it a blessing, Arleigh calls it narcolepsy, I call it a talent.

12) I love Ashton Idaho. Outside of all my complaining I do in the winter, I truly love the area I grew up in. I am grateful that I attended a tiny school because I was able to be involved in everything! Its true that everyone knows everything about everyone, but I even love that! When I took my ambulance ride after the marathon I was checking at Dave’s Jubilee and 90% of the costumers asked how I was because they heard about it on their scanners. I love the feeling of complete security and love that I get in this silly little town.

13)I love hot air balloons, cupcakes (that are more frosting then cake), crafts, hiking (walking), card games, the fourth of July, biking, running, sunrises, picnics, teaching my darling little sunbeams, sledding, chasing Emma, ice cream, movies, BYUI, flip flops, getting mail, and life! =)

14) I believe that I would be happy if it was summer all year round minus three months. Leaving spring in April, fall in September, and winter in December. Yup perfect.

15) I am horrible at cooking and driving!! Two things that are bringing constant teasing from my very loving family!

Project Blog Recovery:

Tragedy struck in Ashton, Idaho. On a fine winter day Kayla was happily updating her blog. She unknowingly went into her “edit posts”, and while in there she noticed that there were things that needed to be deleted, drafts and other items. In her out of character determination to tidy up her blog she failed to realize she was deleting every post she had ever made. And so begins…… project blog recovery.
